Our VP was contacted over the winter by someone wanting a better life for this baby. He was purchased at two months old (and weaned at that time-much too early) and then lived the next couple months ALONE at an abandoned home. The daughter taking care of the baby colt thought h e deserved better and told some friends.. who then told us. He was for SALE, and we did have to purchase him, but for a nominal fee… that was donated for that purpose. One of our volunteers went that weekend the couple hours to pick him up out in the S. California desert. He then spent a couple weeks there until we could get him hauled North to the main ranch. Our treasurer fell in love and he now has a forever home with her! Sometimes just an ‘upgrade’ is needed!
